Make a Wish Lunch Bunch Card for January

The next card we created in Lunch Bunch this month has a soft look to it.  The subtle colors on the cake layers and using the Smoky Slate (stamped off once) for the background really makes this card.  The Piece of Cake bundle (stamp set and cake punch) make creating birthday cards so quick and simple!  Adding Flirty Flamingo ink splashes and Champagne Shimmer Paint splashes gives a fun look for this birthday card.

Forever Lovely Lunch Bunch Card for January

This month has been full of new stamp sets, framelits or thinlits, DSP and embellishments.  I love using Stampin' Up! products when I'm creating and I love the new Occasions and SAB Catalogs right now!  The first card uses the Polished Stone technique.  It's been a long time since I've used a technique like this on my cards.  It gives this Valentine's Day card, Anniversary card or "just because" card a gorgeous, classy look.  I used the colors Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam and a touch of Champagne Shimmer Paint to create the Polished Stone look.  To create the Polished Stone look, you put a jumbo cotton ball on a bull clip and add a bit of rubbing alcohol.  Next, add drops of reinker of your choice and shimmer paint to the cotton ball.  Lastly, drab the cotton ball on Glossy White cardstock in a pattern or just all over the layer.  The idea for this card came from Lynsay Mahon and Pinterest.  I loved her card so much I had to CASE it!

Valentine's Day Treats and Notecards

I used the idea from page 8 of the Occasions Catalog to create a narrow notecard with the "Hey Love" stamp set.  It was so simple to change the idea from a treat topper to a notecard.  All you have to do is think outside of the box sometimes.

I chose this stamp set since my nephew loves the movie "Sing" and the gorilla so much from the movie.  I think I will be using this stamp set all year to send him adorable notes and cards.  You could use this stamp set to create treat toppers for Valentine's treat bags, mini notecards for your kids' friends or a fun Valentine's Day card for family members.  There are so many possibilities beyond Valentines as well...baby cards, kids' birthday cards, anniversary cards and many more.  I hope you will give this stamp set some love this spring.

Valentine's Day Stamp Club Card for January

For this Valentine's Day card, we used the Stamparatus to make the stamping easier.  First, I lined up the flowers set with my Stamparatus plate and stamped them in Flirty Flamingo.  Then I placed the leaves stamp on the cardstock on top of the flowers and placed the Stamparatus plate on top to pick up the stamp.  This helped me position the stamps exactly where I wanted them when it came time to stamp them on the cardstock.  I stamped the leaves in Soft Seam Foam.  After stamping the flowers and leaves, I flipped my cardstock and stamped the images again on the cardstock.
