Stamping Clubs

Interested in stamping with others every month? Need some new ideas for making cards, projects and gifts? Is your wish list for the new 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog too long or will break the bank? If you said "yes" to any of these questions, you should join one of my Stamping Clubs. Read below to find out more about the types of Stamping Clubs I currently offer.

Stamping Clubs will meet once a month for 6 months or 10 months (depending on your preference) where you will create cards and/or projects for FREE with a $15 purchase of SU! items each month. You can also decide to join for 6-month period with a $25 purchase of SU! items each month.

Best of all, you will receive the new 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog for FREE and you will receive hostess benefits (that's FREE SU! items) once during the 10-month period (or 6-month period if you choose). It is like stamping on a budget and getting a little something each month. Also, I will teach you a new technique or use a new tool or stamp set so you will get a variety of instruction from me during the 10 months (or 6 months if you choose this option) and as always I am here to be your guide and creative coach.

Whimsical, Elegant and Just for Dad Cards this June

At our monthly Hostess Club this month, we made a pinwheel card, did some watercoloring and created a Father's Day card just in time for some special fathers out there. I even gave this card to my husband for Father's Day and my dad since both of them like to golf. Made for a quick and easy card this year! Check out the cards and bookmarks we made this month.

Instructions for the pinwheel card:

Outside layer: Emboss a piece of colored cardstock using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (#117335)
Cut a 4" x 4" piece of DSP
Score DSP from corner to corner to create an "X"
Cut towards the center but not too far or you will cut your paper into 4 triangles (Trust me. I've done this before. HaHa)
Put just a bit of Snail Adhesive (#104332) on one corner (always choose either the left or the right corner) of every triangle
Fold the end with Snail Adhesive up to the center & overlap all the center edges until it looks like a pinwheel
Punch a hole through the center of your pinwheel and the embossed layer of cardstock
Place a Glimmer Brad (#121006 - Brights collection) through the hole and close the brad
Seal a 5 3/4" x 4 3/8" envelope and use your paper trimmer to cut a sliver off the other side of your envelope (not the side just sealed)
Adhere your colored cardstock layer to your cardbase (aka...your envelope)
Use a Small Oval Punch (#120908) to cut a notch out of your envelope cardbase and attached colored cardstock layer. This will allow the receipent to see and pull out your card inside the envelope.
Stamp and adhere a greeting onto the outside layer if desired
Inside card is a simple 4" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock
Decorate the inside card any way you like (Feel free to use DSP, a stamp set, jot a note or all of the above as I did.)

Congratulations! You now have a functioning pinwheel card to give for a child's or an adult's Birthday, Thank You or any occasion you want. I chose to use this as Thank You cards for my child's teacher and teacher assistant at the end of the year. (FYI: Don't bother wasting your breath on the pinwheel. You'll pass out before it can move on it's own. Just spin the pinwheel with your fingers instead.)
