Love You More Card

For this card, I used the same layout as my You Mean the World to Me card.  It makes it so much easier to come up with card designs once I have a layout in mind.  I used the new Fresh Prints DSP since I love all the non-traditional holiday colors in it.  I just cut the DSP to the size I wanted and then flipped the same sheet over to match the colors in the card.  Then, I added the saying "Love You More" in Real Red, cut it out using the Chalk Talk Framelits and backed it with a Real Red layer cut out using the Chalk Talk Framelits once again.  I added the bird from the Backyard Basics stamp set and cut it out using the Backyard Basics Framelits.  I placed the bird under the wording so it looks like the bird is saying "Love You More" which I thought was so cute.  This is going to be my Valentine's Day card for all of our family members since they live far away.  It was so quick and easy to put together and duplicate that I already have my cards ready to send!  This Valentine's Day may be the first holiday that I send out my cards ahead of time and not the day or two before :)

Life Doesn't Have To Be Perfect Card

For this card I wanted to use Stampin' Up!'s new DSP called Sweet Sorbet (available only during Sale-A-Bration).  The colors were bright and I just loved how the Basic Black, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Sahara Sand, Summer Starfruit and Whisper White colors go together.  I have even substituted Smoky Slate or the Silver Glimmer Paper (like I did here) for the Basic Black color.  I started with a Crisp Cantaloupe card base and decided to add a touch of Pool Party by cutting a Top Note die in half.  It gave the card the perfect amount of Pool Party color and added some dimension to the card as well.  Adding some Silver Glimmer Paper punched out using a 2 1/2" Circle Punch was the perfect addition under the new Perfect Pennants stamped greeting which was also punched out using the Decorative Label Punch.  All of it came together quickly once I began layering the DSP, Top Note layer and the Silver Glimmer Paper with multi-colored greeting onto the Crisp Cantaloupe card base.  I added the coffee cup from the Perfect Blend stamp set onto the Pool Party Top Note layer to give the card even more dimension and something else to catch some one's eye.  You could easily replace the coffee cup with any stamped image you want (a butterfly, a bird, a heart, a flower)...the options are endless.  Give this layout a try and feel free to share it with me.  I love to see new cards using a layout one of the bakers has presented here on Pink Paper Bakery!

Love You Washi Tape Card

I loved this simple layout on a card I had seen last year using Washi Tape so I decided to replicate it as much as I could.  Sometimes my memory doesn't serve me well ;)
Retro Fresh This and That Designer Washi Tape Card
This card was so simple and easy to put together and used one of my customers' favorite items...Washi Tape. There are so many different things you can do with the Washi Tape. I love that it will lift back up and can be repositioned if you need to. For this card, I just placed 6 strips of Washi Tape on a Whisper White card base. Then I added a piece of Coastal Cabana punched out with a heart for the upcoming holidays. You could easily switch out the heart punch with another punch (butterfly, flower or use a bird, banner or camera framelit to add a different look). I added some Early Espresso Baker's Twine to the Coastal Cabana punched layer and attached it to the card using dimensionals. Finally, I added a sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners in Soft Suede on a So Saffron card stock and cut it out using the Bitty Banners Framelits.

Give this simple Washi Tape card a try today!

You Mean the World to Me Card

This card came together so quickly once I had a layout in mind. I used a Crumb Cake card base with a Coastal Cabana layer that I had embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing folder. I added DSP from the Fresh Prints DSP Stack, a Real Red banner cut out using the Banners Framelits and the greeting "you mean the world to me" stamped in markers then cut out using the Chalk Talk Framelits.
You Mean the World to Me card
I layered the greeting/stamped image on top of the new Natural 5/8" Chevron Ribbon and the Real Red banner. Both popped up using dimensionals. Then placed on top of the DSP layers and the card base. I just love the color combinations in this new Fresh Prints DSP!
